HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT MAT FOR YOUR NEEDS
Floortex mats are highly cost-effective solutions for the protection of expensive floor coverings such as carpets, real wood and laminated floors. They will save floors from loss of appearance, wear and damage. Floortex offers a wide selection of shapes and sizes to suit your requirements.

Our mats have an embossed upper surface and are usually clear (unless stated) so that the appearance of the underlying floor covering remains visible.

BEFORE WE START ...

STEP ONE - WHAT TYPE OF SURFACE ARE YOU LOOKING TO PROTECT?
You will need either gripper backed mats for carpet or smooth back mats for hard floor and very low pile carpets-

PICK THE RIGHT BACKING ...
	GRIPPER BACKED MATS Use these spiked mats on carpets only. Spiked mats will damage wooden floors and will be damaged by castor chairs if used on hard floors.
	SMOOTH BACKED MATS For use on hard floors and very low pile carpets.
	ANTI SLIP BACKING Use on high-gloss floors, eg polished wood, to prevent slippage. Floortex has launched a new range of polycarbonate anti-slip mats in our Cleartex brand category

	VERY LOW PILE CARPET Carpet tiles etc.
	LOW PILE CARPET Less than 6mm pile.
	MEDIUM PILE CARPET Between 6mm and 12mm pile.
	DEEP PILE CARPET More than 12mm pile.
	HARD FLOOR Concrete, tile, wood, laminate, vinyl etc.

STEP FOUR - CHOOSE A SUITABLE MATERIAL

STEP FIVE - CHOOSE HOW YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MATS PACKAGED
We can package your mat(s) in cartons, polybags or bulk depending on your individual requirements ... eg if you are an end user ordering from our retail site you will probably want a single mat shipped in a cardboard carton. If you are a wholesaler or dealer then a bulk packed pallet will be more appropriate.
